What Type Of Business Or Organization Can Benefit By Using A Podium Or Lectern?

When I thought about it, there are many uses for a podium or lectern, such as:
Churches – As lecterns are smaller than a pulpit, churches often use a lectern as a secondary source, to read scripture from or make announcements.
Educational Facilities – Will most likely use a podium or lectern for Student Orientation, Prep Rallies, Debate Competitions, Award Ceremonies or Banquets, in the Classroom and of course Graduation Ceremonies.
Libraries – Many libraries use a lectern for informational meetings, conferences, and lectures to promote lifelong learning through a broad range of topics
Restaurants – Use a podium as a Host Stand, that can accommodate seating charts, reservation logs and menus.
Concierge – Hotels are opting for a podium in lieu of a desk. By doing so, it creates the concierge area more welcoming and accessible.
Airports – You have seen podiums or lecterns all over the airport, being used in many different capacities. The one that comes to mind is the Security Checkpoint, where they check your ID and Boarding Pass.
Funeral Homes – Have a chapel to conduct funerals or memorial services, which features a podium to read a eulogy, scriptures, and remembrances from.
Auction Houses - A podium is used to present inform to the bidding public about an item(s) for sale and to take bids.
Charity or Volunteer Organizations – Use a podium or lectern to promote their charity or organization and for fundraising events, meetings, programs, and banquets.
Banquet/Reception Halls – Most have a podium available for conferences, meetings, wedding receptions to use for presentations, training sessions and to toast the bride and groom.
Valet Parking – With the increase of valet parking many restaurants, hotels, stores, night clubs, hospitals, concert and sporting events have installed a valet station, which is a podium that has numbered key slots to identify a customers vehicle. These podiums are mobile and can be moved from place to place.
These are only a few of the places that come to mind. There are many other venues that use them.
